This policy explains what personal information Kap Unity Canada Inc. collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). By using our website or our services, you agree to this policy.
Kap Unity Canada Inc. is a business incorporated in Nova Scotia, Canada, operating as a licensed immigration and recruitment agency at 1312 Bedford Highway, Bedford, Nova Scotia, B4A 1B7. Contact us at info@kapunitycanada.ca.
We are an independent business. We are not affiliated with, and do not represent, the Government of Canada or any government body.
Immigration advice about your individual case is provided only by Ms. Amelia Ajoc, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, licence number R518392. General information on our website, in our programs, and in our communities is educational and is not advice on your specific case.
When you complete an assessment, join a program, or contact us, we may collect:
Contact information. Your name, email address, phone number, and address including city, province or state, postal code, and country.
Immigration related information. Your immigration status, work permit details and expiry, occupation and work history, education, language test results, family details, and financial capacity such as proof of funds. This is the information needed to assess which pathways may apply to you.
Payment information. Processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details.
Usage information. IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of visit, and time spent on pages.
To assess which immigration pathways may be relevant to you, to deliver our programs and services, to manage your account and requests, to process payments, to contact you about a service you have purchased, to meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed agency, and to improve what we offer. With your consent, we also send you immigration updates and information about our programs.
We ask for your consent before sending marketing emails or text messages. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, by replying STOP to any text message, or by emailing info@kapunitycanada.ca. Withdrawing marketing consent does not stop messages we need to send you about a service you have purchased.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other clients or members. We share it only with:
Service providers who help us operate, including our customer relationship platform, our email and messaging providers, and our payment processor.
Partner employers, only where you have asked us to endorse your application, and only with information relevant to that introduction.
Government authorities, where required by law or where you have engaged us to represent you.
Some of our service providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. By using our services you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place.
Our pages use cookies that are necessary for the site to function, to remember your preferences, and to record basic visit information. We do not currently run advertising or analytics tracking on this site. If we add advertising or analytics tools in future, we will update this policy first. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work properly.
We keep your information for as long as you are a member or client, and afterwards for as long as we are required to by law and by our professional obligations as a licensed agency. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to marketing. Email info@kapunitycanada.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Our website and programs are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Where an immigration application includes dependent children, we collect their information from the parent or guardian who provides it, and we handle it under this policy.
We do not provide services to individuals or entities located in countries or regions subject to Canadian sanctions. By using our website you confirm that you are not located in, and are not acting on behalf of anyone located in, such a country or region. The current list is maintained by Global Affairs Canada.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website may link to other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Fees and refund terms for each service are set out in the applicable service agreement or on the payment page for that service, and in our Terms of Service.
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
